Our Parish Community

St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Boerne, Texas, is an active, welcoming, spirit-filled community nourished by the Liturgy to serve God and others. Our parish was founded in the early 1860’s. The first church, now a historical marker and used as a religious education space for pre-schoolers, was finished in 1866. Growing to approximately 50 families, a new church was completed in 1923, modeled after San Antonio’s Mission Concepcion. The dedication of its third new worship space was on October 17, 1999 and now serves over 2,000 families. The Family Life Center building broke ground on May 15th, 2007. Today, its first floor houses the Pastoral Office, 15 classroom/meeting rooms, a library, nursery, and two large conference spaces. This space supports not only the parish activities, but community organizations such as Boy and Girl Scouts, English as a Second Language, parenting seminars, blood drives and other organizations and activities. St. Peter’s and its parishioners assist the needs of individuals and groups in and around Boerne and San Antonio areas.

On July 1, 2014 St. Peter’s welcomed Father Norman Ermis as our new priest.
